I did it.
I finally did it.
On Saturday night, I asked Courtney Suzanne Bower to be my wife.
She accepted.
Well, actually, she hesitated for what seemed to be an uncomfortably long time.
Then she accepted.
But whatever.
And so what if the ring didn’t fit?
I did it.
I finally did it.
Somebody just lost a bet.
Anyway, I’m launching this blog (‘BBCWiHi’ is short for ‘BBC Windsor Heights’) to spread the word — and to see if there’s anything else I can write/post here that won’t get me sued. Or fired. That would suck.
We’ll keep you posted when/if there’s pertinent news. Other than trying to figure out a way to convince the surviving members of Led Zeppelin to play at the reception, everything’s pretty much up in the air at this point.
But there’s this: Lee and the Notorious W.O.O.D. have already volunteered to co-chair the ‘Bachelor Party Committee.’ God help us all.
And now, a special message from this blog’s patron saint, Lightnin’ Hopkins:

Congrats! In the words of Michael Bluth from Arrested Development — “Ya gotta lock that down.”
Anyway, welcome to the wordpress family. My first request, a post titled: “Quien es mas macho — Carlos Quentin v Fernando Torres?”
Hey, thanks for the link. I appreciate it.
…and congrats.
CQ es mas macho!
Well, unless Aaron Laffey’s involved.
Thanks, Mac Daddy. Love the Bluth reference. You know what this world needs? More analrapists.
And thank you, Carl. Oh my God! Carl Skanberg is slummin’ at BBCWiHi! Your work is genius. Pure, unadulterated genius. “Palehose 7″ single-handedly saved my sanity last summer. When the Sox win, it’s hilarious. When they lose, it’s friggin’ hysterical. You have unleashed your Awesome to the world, and for that, this Sox fan is eternally grateful. Oh, sweet grinder!
I would just like to say that my hesitation was for comedic purposes only, and that if he didn’t know the answer I was going to give, he hasn’t been paying attention!
What’s up with this site? Do you ever update it? Or are you just too downtrodden by the effort your SouthSide men gave last weekend?
Us unemployed saps have to do something with our days, so give us a little news…
Seriously, I hope all is well with everyone in Iowa. The entire area has been in our thoughts with the flooding.
